What are IOLs used for?

Intraocular lenses, also known as IOLs, are tiny artificial lenses that are implanted in the eye to replace the natural lens. 

Many patients benefit from traditional monofocal IOLs that give high quality distance vision after cataract surgery, plus toric versions to correct astigmatism. Enhanced monofocal IOLs are also relatively new to the market and can provide excellent intermediate vision. 

For patients looking to achieve more from their IOL, the EDoF lens can combine the distance vision of a monofocal with good intermediate vision and some functional near vision, reducing the need for glasses.

Trifocal IOLs offer the ultimate vision correction after lens surgery, providing clear vision at all distances and giving patients complete independence from wearing spectacles.
