SurgiCube clean air unit versus COVID-19

SugiCube clean air

We are pleased to announce that despite the challenges created by the COVID-19 pandemic, Spectrum Ophthalmics has received two newly manufactured SurgiCube clean air unit ready for NHS installations in Scotland and Yorkshire! Together with Ramón Hilberink , Global Sales Manager at SurgiCube BV and co-ordination from our Spectrum team led by Jan Booth, Director of Operations, we successfully managed the borders and challenges that the last few weeks have bought across Europe due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Proving once and for all that airborne particles and contaminants are no match for the SurgiCube.

The SurgiCube clean air unit for Scotland arrived at its final destination today and our service teams are looking forward to the date when we are able to install for our new customers. The unit destined for Yorkshire will be installed in the coming weeks so stay tuned!

Once delivered, each unit is constructed, validated and ready to use within just 48 hours. The process is as follows:

Day 1: Spectrum service team deliver to the designated room and then construct the SurgiCube

Day 2: Validation is carried out by an external company and training commences for all staff

We look forward to providing further updates on when the both units are installed in the coming weeks! A big thank you to all the teams involved across Spectrum, SurgiCube and the NHS in co-ordinating the shipping and deliveries.
