Hydrophilic IOLs

Hydrophilic acrylic intraocular lenses (IOLs) are made of a soft, flexible material which makes them easy to fold and insert into the eye through a small incision.

Hydrophilic IOLs are typically made of a hydrophilic acrylic material that has a high water content and is designed to be biocompatible with the tissues of the eye. They are available in monofocal, toric and multifocal designs and can provide good visual outcomes for many patients.
